BillBadger Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the BillBadger mobile app handles information. It describes the app as it works today. If the way BillBadger handles data changes, this policy will be updated before that change is released.

It also covers this website (billbadger.mjlabs.biz), which is a static site with no accounts, no database, no analytics, no tracking and no cookies. We do not collect personal information through it. Our hosting provider may keep its own technical request logs for security and reliability, under its own policies.

The short version

• The bills, accounts, income, categories and related details you enter are stored locally on your device.
• BillBadger has no user account and no login.
• BillBadger does not synchronise your data to a cloud service, and there is no MJ Labs server holding a copy of it.
• BillBadger does not connect to banks or other financial institutions, and never asks for banking credentials.
• BillBadger does not move money, make payments or pay bills on your behalf, and does not provide financial, tax or investment advice.

Information you enter

BillBadger is an organization tool: everything it shows you is something you typed in. That can include bill names and amounts, due dates, account labels, income entries, categories, notes and reminder settings.

This information is written to the app’s own storage on your device. It stays under your control, and it is only visible to someone who can unlock and use your device.

Information we do not collect

MJ Labs does not receive the information you enter into BillBadger. Specifically, the app does not:

• create an account for you or ask you to sign in
• upload your bills, accounts or income to a server we run
• ask for bank logins, card numbers or other credentials
• link to your bank or import transactions
• sell or share your information with data brokers
• show advertising or use advertising identifiers

Reminders and notifications

If you turn on reminders, BillBadger schedules them on your device using the operating system’s own notification features. The reminder content stays on the device; MJ Labs does not send you push notifications from a server.

Device permissions

BillBadger asks only for permissions it needs for a feature you are using — for example, notification permission when you set up a reminder. You can decline or later revoke any permission in your device settings; the rest of the app continues to work.

App stores

When BillBadger is published, Apple and Google operate the stores you download it from and may collect their own information about downloads, purchases, crashes or device details under their own policies. That collection is theirs, not ours, and is not covered by this policy.

Backups you control

Your device or operating system may include app data in its own backups (for example an encrypted phone backup). Whether that happens depends on your device settings, not on BillBadger. Those backups are handled by your device provider under their terms.

Deleting your data

You can delete individual entries inside the app. Deleting the app from your device removes the data BillBadger stored there. Because we do not hold a copy, there is nothing for us to delete on our side and no deletion request to send us.

Children

BillBadger is a personal-organization tool intended for adults. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If BillBadger’s data practices change — for example if accounts, synchronisation or analytics are added in a future version — this policy will be updated to describe the new behaviour, and the “last updated” date at the top will change.
